Fat is a virtue...as long as I am fat...

 

Is it just me, or does it seem odd that all of these icons of "the equitable treatment of fat individuals" and "body positivity" and "fat acceptance" are now taking GLP-1 pharma shots/pills?

Suddenly, being morbidly obese is no longer a virtue. Oh, the miracles of chemistry and being able to afford high-end health insurance!

    Sorry, anything that affects your body that dramatically is going to have undesired effects sooner or later.

    As my beloved Nurse wife is apt to say, "any truly effective weight loss drug actually worked long term they'd never have to advertise".

    They'd be sold out :-)

    But hey they have "Sono Bello" (tm) to get rid of "stubborn fat and flappy skin from weight loss.

    Vanity spending seems healthy enough (sarc).
