| 58 minutes to mow the Upper Orchard. It will go more slowly when the grass is thicker. The fact that I didn't have to mow between the trees where I spray herbicide made it go more quickly. |
I was able to mow an additional 34 minutes on the Hill Orchard before I ran out of gas.
More mowing planed for Monday.
---Note added Monday at 5:00 a.m. Our thermometer reads 30F which is MUCH better than the 24F to 25F that had been predicted. Two more hours until sunrise. Maybe we will get lucky and dodge a bullet.---

Bless you and that push-mower brother. I consciously made the decision to purchase a 36" walk-behind instead of the 42" or 48" model, because I reasoned it would get me more exercise, that I needed, and was cheaper to boot. I question my logic sometimes, usually as I'm about to start up the mower.
ReplyDeleteIt isn't so bad in the cool weather. In the summer I need to wait until 11 for the dew to evaporate. By then, it is starting to get warm. Mowing in 90F heat-index for any length of time will really slow me down. "Drive by the temperature gage, not the speedometer" as the driver of one old-jalopy once told me.
