I went for a run this morning. It was a repeat of the last run: 2.5 miles with the last half mile alternating 75 yard sprints with 75 yards of recovery-by-walking. While waiting for MF-ing (Massey-Ferguson to the city folks) traffic to pass during one of my walking-recoveries, I saw a mature Bald Eagle. What a treat!

Otherwise, today was a recovery day.
7 quarts of stewed tomatoes through the canner and 3 quarts of dill pickles today.

Pawpaw, one of the bloggers I list on my blog-roll, recently wrote a post about the Parmesan Fried Chicken that he made for lunch. I was unable to leave a comment so I am linking to it here. For the record, I had TWO Bacon, Lettuce and Tomato sandwiches for lunch.

Thats a good looking mater.
ReplyDeleteI planted a variety of romas this year. Some I liked better than others. Sure wish I could find the little plant tags...
Lot of meat in that mater slice!
ReplyDeleteIt's time to tariff that smoke.
ReplyDeleteGreat job on the run ERJ!
ReplyDeleteFew pleasures in Life are greater than a toasted bread BLT sandwich. Two of them - sublime.
ReplyDeleteI wish I could run but I'm not built for that. When I was young, I had good sprinting speed (50 yard dash in 7 seconds or slightly better) but distance running - nope. One 440 yard lap and I have to stop - heart beating wildly.
A good BLT is heaven. My favorite meal is BL homegrown T with local just picked corn on the cob.
