Bravo! Good for them and their supporters. I think many people these days do not understand the vows, and consecration. I hope they can continue to stay in their home. Southern NH
Regards the Nuns, may they have a good finish. The Nuns may have been moved to the 'home' to provide the care they needed at a reduced cost. There of course, could be other reasons. Case in point, read "Ghosts of the Orphanage" by Kennealy. Been there, done that, 1947 - 1954.
I have not found anything related to a proposed sale of the building. There was an internal reorganisation aand it was passed over to another Augustin group. The private school where they worked was passed over to zjr Archbishopric of Salzburg. There is no mention of what happened to anyone else living there, so probably they were the last people living in that building. Judging by their ages they were teachers under the old system where these jobs were basically counted as civil servants, and they should be getting pensions around 4000 Euros/month. Just guessing here.
