ReplyDeleteMore brazen crooks insist you not only unlock and hand over your phone, but also unlock your Zelle/Venmo/CashApp (e.g. via Face ID).
I would be FUBAR. I don't have any of those apps. I don't even have a flashlight app.

ReplyDeleteThat is why muggers like to select families with a couple of young kids to mug. Even if "dad" can boogie, he can't if it means he would leave behind his wife and kids. Also, kids dilute situational awareness.
DeleteOld man with old wife are also prime targets.
The drop-wallet MIGHT be useful to them if the stuff inside is convincing.
As always, he bloviates.

Bad guy is not going to spend much time checking the bin on your credit card.....
