Color me confused
According to the internet, Progressive women who are angry because V.P. Harris lost the 2024 POTUS race vow to stop having sex with people they are not married to.
As a Christian and as a Conservative, that action fall in-line with what I believe is correct and proper. If it was their intention to twist-my-nose, they failed.
Color me confused: Part II
According to the internet, the fragile coalition known as the Progressives are splintering as they blame "White Women" for V.P. Harris's loss. The Progressives, who cannot define what a woman is. The Progressives who oscillate between "Race is a social-construct" and not being able to define the line between who is "Black" and who is "White".
The Progressive coalition has always been fragile because it is zero-sum-game racket. If one special interest group gets more, than another must get less. The Progressives approach all problems as an excuse to redistribute.
The Conservatives are a little bit different. Our mindset is "Get government out of the way and let the economy become more productive and there will be more for everybody".
I think James Carville got it right. The Democrats used a bad process to pick a bad candidate and then ran a bad campaign that spent a lot of money avoiding talking about the issues important to most Americans.
The problem wasn't the erosion of any particular affinity group. The problem was a series of mind-bogglingly bad decisions and a complete lack of awareness in the Democratic leadership.
I think I disagree.
ReplyDeleteFrom what I’m seeing, your Donks are a party of incredibly stupid and evil people, and flat out lunatics. They ran Cackula because she was the best candidate they had. Everyone else were hated by large majorities of the American people. Viable and reasonably competent (sane) candidates like RFK and Tulsi were run out on a rail.
The same problem started to overtake your Repubs too. A significant faction of them hate Trump with the same passion the Donks do. We have much the same problem up here in Canada and it looks like Western Europe has it too. Liberalism has failed. I think the problem *might* be mostly a people problem and corrected by a ruthless (but peaceful) purge of the managerial and elite class with mass firings and layoffs… but others think the problem is systemic and may require a violent revolution to fix.
We are now seriously in the “find out” stage of things, if ya catch my drift… but whadda I know?

The "progressives" have always been about policy at the expense of human suffering. Policy has a higher priority than the human condiiton. As the reach of the policy has grown the number of people suffering has grown. We are at the point that it bites them at the voting booth. If they persist it may bite them in other ways. Roger
ReplyDeleteI believe the dem/liberal ticket suffered from many problems, one of which is the echo-chamber effect. They believed their own propaganda when the public at large did not. So they doubled-down at every turn, instead of reflecting and re-directing.

ReplyDeleteI've gotten so tired of all of it, I want nothing to do with anyone claiming to be a Democrat. I don't want their friendship, I don't want to compromise - I don't want to be aware of their existence. One could say I don't want them to even exist. But - reality is what it is and it's better to know what your enemy is up to rather than ignore their presence. Trump's election (may he live to take office) didn't/can't end the "war" - he may simply have turned the tide. The fight continues.
ReplyDeleteERJ - Like you, I have noted this sudden "lurch" to conservative sexual values (at least, self proclaimed on the InterWeb) - and perhaps surprisingly have not agreed with a such a trend in a long time. Now if we could only convince men to think along the same lines.
ReplyDeleteAlong with this movement, I would thoroughly encourage movie folks to refuse to do sex scenes under the same logic.
To your point, it is an actual zero sum game on one side versus a level playing field on the other (that is, if the Red party can hold it together). I hope the Former and Future Resident and the herd of cats known as Congress can stand firm and deliver.
As the saying goes, even a stopped clock is right twice a day. I suspect they'd be offended to realize it though!

At this point, I think it's impossible for them to have a well spoken, electable, candidate who also satisfies their activist wing.
