Another time of year when the light is attractive on the water in northern climes is in July soon after sunrise. In my school holidays I'd often get up then to go to the harbour for casual work. Why the hours? The arrival of a "steamer" was governed by the tide and the daylight. If she wanted to berth I had to be there or I'd not be paid.
Just gorgeous! To replicate sunset on water like that? My GOD!
ReplyDeleteWhat attractive stuff.

Time and Tide wait for no boy.
Thanks as always, ERJ, for keeping the tradition alive.
ReplyDeleteTo the first comment above, the ability to replicate the reflection of the sky on the water in paint is amazing to me.
I love Rosenberg's use of light!
