So there I was, trying to help a young man get his "whip" back on the road.
"Did you pull the codes?" I asked. I was expecting a simple "Yes" or "No". Instead, I got a lecture on why HE didn't need to use no-stinkin'-computer.
That translates to "No. I didn't pull the codes."
Our local parts store will gladly pull them for you, free-of-charge. They are in the business of selling parts. They become your preferred source when you don't waste money playing parts Remove-and-Replace Roulette.
That calls to mind the number of people who snatch defeat from the jaws of victory by refusing to consult with the Bible or the U.S. Constitution or Dale Carnegie's How to Win Friends and Influence People or any one of a half-dozen other solid references.
They are absolutely sure that whatever shiny-gum-wrapper of a partial thought that blew into their head a half-second ago HAS to be better than that old-shit.
They are forever surprised when they spew verbal abuse and then get punched in the nose by the targets of their abuse. Then, next week they lecture us that words are violence and they get punched in the nose again. After all, they just said there was no difference between words and action, same-same.
Much of the education industry is totally daffy. "Find your own truth!" Isaac Newton is smirking. So is William of Occam.
"Progressive" assumes "Progress" which assumes that we will recognize and learn from our mistakes. So far, the evidence does not support those foundational assumptions.
"Knowledge is rooted in suffering, ignorance is bliss."
ReplyDelete"When knowledge is folly, ignorance is bliss"
DeleteMuch of what now passes for "knowledge" is fluff or fruitless hand-wringing over situations that the individual has almost no control over.
For instance, I have heard many young women say "The world is in such a dreadful state, I cannot have a baby knowing that I will not be able to protect them."
Playing that out to the end-game, "So, you are going to take the $220,000 it takes to raise a child and donate it to alleviate hunger in India or drought in Sudan or injustice in the middle-East?"
Nope. They intend to vacation in Cancun.
They are impervious to arguments that their child is less likely to succumb to water,-born fecal sourced infections, nutrient based or abiotic stresses now than at any time in the last 1,000,000 years.
I have a daughter-in-law who took that line about bringing kids into this terrible world to avoid having kids. Broke her husband's heart. But he's a good man and stayed with her for six years now. They vacation all over the world and send us pictures. But when they come over for holidays you can see it in his eyes.
DeleteI don't remember who said it, but one of the early Progressives said that "progressive" means the progressive infiltration of communism into American culture, since Americans would not tolerate it otherwise.
Some people given a time machine would go back and kill young Hitler. My top two targets would be Mohammed and Antonio Gramsci.
He's going to leave her eventually. Tick tock as the wimmens say... I'm with you on the time-machine, too.
DeleteC.V., you have my deepest sympathy.
DeleteYou cannot win.
If you took her at her word, you could suggest that a fine, sensitive, altruistic woman like her could ADOPT children and not be responsible for not bringing any more into the world. In fact, she would be shielding them from most of those horrible things that she claims hurt her.
AND...we know how that would end. She would crawfish sideways and hate you forever because you dared to challenge her virtue-signaling.
"Knowledge is rooted in suffering, ignorance is bliss."
DeleteThis statement came obviously from an ignorant person as ignorance is not really bliss because...
"Ignorance is the root cause of all Evil. Since only Knowledge eradicates ignorance, it is our duty and moral obligation to educate ourselves, as well as the masses around us." --- Anonymous
Ignorance of lies and deceptions (=most mainstream news and establishment decrees) is bliss because exposing yourself to that is self-propagandization.
Ignorance of truths is not, or only temporarily or rarely, bliss because it is ultimately self-defeating .... https://johnmichaeldemarco.com/15-reasons-why-ignorance-is-not-bliss
"Ignorance is not protection from consequences. When you know better, you do better—but when you do not know, the consequences still arrive, often compounded. Proactivity matters. Asking questions matters. Research matters. Every choice we make carries outcomes, and those outcomes do not pause simply because we failed to understand them." --- https://archive.is/PLqhb
The FALSE mantra of “ignorance is bliss”, promoted in the latter sense, is a product of a fake sick culture that has indoctrinated its “dumbed down” (therefore TRULY ignorant, therefore easy to control) people with many such manipulative slogans. Eg...
““We’re all in this together” is a tribal maxim. Even there, it’s a con, because the tribal leaders use it to enforce loyalty and submission. ... The unity of compliance.” --- Jon Rappoport, Investigative Journalist
You can find the proof that ignorance is hardly ever bliss (and if so only superficial temporary fake bliss), and how you get to buy into this lie (and other self-defeating lies), in the article “The 2 Married Pink Elephants In The Historical Room –The Holocaustal Covid-19 Coronavirus Madness: A Sociological Perspective & Historical Assessment Of The Covid “Phenomenon”” ... https://www.rolf-hefti.com/covid-19-coronavirus.html
“If ignorance is bliss, why aren't there more happy people?” --- John Mitchinson
"If we have learned anything in the past six years, it is that vaccinologists, doctors, and the government in general do not have good intentions and never did. The clear intention of everyone concerned was and is to make as much dirty money as possible, letting any amount of collateral damage slide, including a genocide and mass poisoning [with Covid-19 jabs]. The fact [is] that Big Pharma just murdered millions of people, with the full support of government, media, and “science”. With Covid, everyone is part of the fraud, many of them paid off, so no one has any reason to expose it, and big reasons to bury it. Don't believe anything these people tell you, ABOUT ANYTHING. It isn't time for a civil war against your neighbors, it is time for a revolution against these hoaxers and thieves." --- Miles Mathis, American author, in 2025
Speaking of ignorance is evil, how can the masses get out of this whole mess (and create justice, freedom and peace for all)? First, EVERYONE needs to learn, and teach others, what TRUE morality is ---99% of people don't know what it is because (1) it's NOT taught in the official indoctrination system, better know as the "education system," and (2) it's NOT the same as religious morality: https://odysee.com/@woeih:e/Mark-Passio-Government-Is-Slavery:a
https://odysee.com/@woeih:e/Mark-Passio-Interviewed-By-Shaun-Atwood-2026-06-18:6
Because if you don't know what TRUE morality is you will not stop doing, unwittingly or wittingly, evil things...
"The solution is NOT to create something new (eg, new systems of organization, new technologies, etc). The solution is to STOP being complicit with evil. To STOP doing things that are not moral for a reward. To STOP being complicit with anything the control system tells us we must do." --- Mark Passio, Spiritual Teacher, in 2023
There is a bias that all "progress" is good. History suggests that this is not always the case.
ReplyDeleteThere is a great bias towards "new knowledge" and the InterWeb as being the main source of all information. We are in relatively deadly danger of being unable to access information if it is not on a computer.

ReplyDeleteBe careful even about libraries and librarians. As any sector that is female dominated it is captured by DEI, Trans lunacy, feminism and all their evil cousins. I married the last good librarian.
