Today is a watering day.
After lugging water, my plan is to drill some holes into the trunks of some pesky Black Walnuts that shrugged off girdling and the herbicide I sprayed on the cut surfaces. The holes will be filled with 10% glyphosate equivalent solution
I THINK those Black Walnuts are dead-trees-walking that haven't figured out that their roots are slowly starving. Operative word "slowly".
I want to be done with the heavy work by noon due to heat.
Our rhubarb season is over. Our asparagus season is nearly over, as are the broad beans (=US Fava Beans?). We do have some strawberries though. Another year goes rushing by.
ReplyDeleteHave you ever used Stump Out? I have used this product several time and the roots dissolve over time. Drill a hole in the stump fill with a ounce of Stump Out, hammer in a cork. a 12 inch stump will need 3 holes. Also can be used in the production of BP.
