Tally

Big surprise! Kubota voted.

That makes me, Mrs ERJ, Southern Belle, 99.9% chance Belladonna voted, and now Kubota. That leaves Pelé who plays his cards close to his vest and I will not pry.

Mrs ERJ and I coordinate so I have a pretty good idea who she voted for but the others...not so much. And that is "OK". We are at different places in our lives and have different priorities.

The main thing is that they voted and they earned the right to bitch-and-moan if/when "their guy/gal" doesn't win and things go south.

5-out-of-6 is an .833 batting average which isn't too shabby!

  1. I went this morning hoping to beat the rush. Thought I would be one of the first ones in, but I ended up being number 41.

  2. Voted in every election since 1960, from dog catcher to pres. Now
over 83, the Mrs. and I can't stand in block long lines out in the rain so we voted early. (caring, but cowardly?) :)

  3. I think 2016 was my first vote cast, and I voted again a few hours ago despite knowing it does nothing. My main concern these days is fighting my way through the system of the day and getting some pie for me and mine before it's all gone.

    1. Worthy goal. Seems pie isn't getting the recognition it should lately.
I'm hoping voting this time, will make some difference, however mild. My hope for 2016, was for Trump to be a good monkey wrench. He wildly exceeded my expectations.
This time (after his admission to being dumb and naive about stuff) my expectations are much higher.

  4. One question arises. If things go south due to the policies of the one they voted for, do they still get to get all huffy about it? Inquiring minds and all that.

  5. ERJ, I think we are at least at 80% and perhaps 100%.

I do not pay too much mind to how young people vote; I, too, was once young and voted much differently when I had little to lose.

    1. Roger that, I elected Clinton by voting for Perot. I don't regret it, Clinton turned out to be a better than average republican president.

One of uncountable great things about the United States is that you have a right to b-and-m even if you advocate against voting, and people who believe in the ideals of the United States have an obligation to defend your right to do so.
Irony and governance. What are ya gonna do?

    1. I'd say you have even a better reason if you didn't vote and things go south. If there's some cage match thing going and people want to get in there and do battle, why not? I think we can all agree that it would be wrong to grab a guy who is just minding his own business and toss his butt into the ring.
