I will admit I have gone through more tires due to poky things in the tread and sidewalls since moving to western MI, but then again, I drive on gravel way more here then I ever did in up-state NY.
And, no, "whiny" tires are not something I notice either. Must be a girl thing...lol As long as they get me where I need to go, I don't care what they sound like.Suzhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07117433684554337583noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2970975545475697571.post-5473119640688261082018-11-13T18:13:24.973-05:002018-11-13T18:13:24.973-05:00I noticed a few reviews for Goodyear SilentArmor w...I noticed a few reviews for Goodyear SilentArmor while I was researching tires for Mrs ERJ's minivan.

https://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires.jsp?tireMake=Goodyear&tireModel=Wrangler+SilentArmor#RatingsReviews

where the reviewer was impressed by this tire's ability to drive over sharp rocks with little or no damage. One review noted that this tire is a common choice for commercial fleets which suggests high up-time.

That is not a super-high priority in Michigan. Most of our rocks were polished in glaciers and are smooth and well rounded. That is very unlike the fractured, igneous rocks commonly encountered "out west".Eaton Rapids Joehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09102166969915526172noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2970975545475697571.post-43825315760012315372018-11-13T16:27:42.289-05:002018-11-13T16:27:42.289-05:00Smart man. With winter coming, I insisted we change them and her vehicle handles much better now for it and amazingly no more leaks. Not cheap, but it was worth it.Aaronhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08146728790019377401noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2970975545475697571.post-74910745606014067632018-11-13T10:16:57.154-05:002018-11-13T10:16:57.154-05:00My problem with the better (more expensive) high m...My problem with the better (more expensive) high mileage tires is that I always seem to get punctures before they wear out. Of course, I am at the end of a steep winding dirt road, so I drive SUV's or AWD cars and I use all season or snow tires year round.Jonathan Hhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10476185257203343474noreply@blogger.com
