| Girl pealing a potato. Yes, I find this painting "appealing". Albert Anker was born in 1831 in Ins, Switzerland and died in 1910. Ins is in the northwest corner of Switzerland and is in a fertile, valley between Lake Neuchâtel and Lake Bie. He is famous for painting people, often pre-teen girls, doing the everyday chores of living.         |
