On the other hand, India and Pakistan are getting monkey-hammered by the abrupt shutdown of mid-East oil. Pakistan is a Muslim country which buys them some credibility with what remains of the Iranian leadership. Furthermore, Pakistan is downwind of Iran and likely to get a cloud of radioactive dust should things continue to escalate.
I imagine that they are already getting a flood of Shia refugees...Shia and Sunni have a history of friction. Pakistan is not in a position to receive 10 million destitute and angry Shia refugees.

Sorry boys, looks like after Trump rejected Iran's original 10-point plan about 2 weeks ago NOW IT's TRUMPS Idea to accept for consideration the Iranian Opening the Strait 10 point plan (almost word for word from two weeks ago).
Now we have a ceasefire (already broken by Israel WANT LINKS?) that Iran will only respond to being attacked for two weeks while discussions are done.

Odd how a little math shows that 2 weeks is almost perfect for stripping the remainder of our missile interceptors and LONG RANGE strike missiles from the rest of our world wide supply depots.
Guess using the shorter ranged JDAM's caused some inflight "incidents" and pilot recovery operations as Iran's TOTALLY DESTROYED Anti-aircraft systems came into play.
Right along with the TOTALLY DESTROYED Ballistic Missile launchers and manufacturing continued to blast Israel and American assets in the Middle East for weeks AFTER being totally destroyed several times...

Iran's nuclear weapons program front ran their missile program. It is now clear that Iran finished development of 4,000+ km delivery vehicles over the last 9 months and were in a position to create a suitable fission weapon as of 01 March. This explains the urgency of Epic Fury.

It is possible that Pakistan has held back some details which are critical to the construction of an efficient Iranian fission device. The Paks probably regard this as leverage over Iran, but Iran is now able to create a workable, less sophisticated device. Hence Pakistan's leverage over Iran is slipping.
The 'Death To America/Israel' crowd in Iran would certainly use a fission device against Israel. Israel would retaliate. You don't even want to speculate how that nuclear war will develop. We have a moral responsibility to prevent the horrible deaths of millions. Hence Epic Fury.

This is precisely what we did during World War II to both the Germans and the Japanese. We felt entirely justified, despite not knowing even half of the atrocities their governments committed. I see no reason to allow Iran to set off a nuclear war which would kill as many as WW II did, around 60 million people. Our actions during WW II were ugly, but fully justified morally by producing fewer casualties than any of the other bad options available.
I remind you of Fleet Admiral William Frederick Halsey, Jr.'s famous quote: "Before we're through with them, the Japanese language will be spoken only in hell." Trump's invective is fully warranted and not a departure from past American government officials' statements.
