    1. I saw only a bit of Olympics maybe 10 years ago. It was disappointing. When I was young the coverage would stay on one event, not jump around showing bits and pieces. There was not much about the life and background of competitors. I found those clips distracting and would rather see the competition. Professionals in the hockey, baseball, etc., just seems wrong to me.

  3. The Olympics had that potential, before some of the athletes made it clear that politics are more important to them than being proud of the country that made their appearances and their notoriety possible.

    1. The Olympics were good for many years, but in the last 25 years they've been overtaken by those looking to use the Olympics for their own ends - often profit, but sometimes, like here, for ideology.
      I'm surprised they weren't taken over earlier given their size and impact.
