A-a-r on the funeral and a short, palate-cleanser video

I went to the funeral of the 102.4 year-old man today.

There were about 80 people attending, which is a really good show for somebody who has outlived nearly all of his peers.

I was surprised to learn that the man was baptized at the age of 84. Please note that I am NOT recommending that you put it off that long if you feel called to get baptized.

  1. At age 84 most sinful impulses have pretty much gone away so baptism then cleanses the soul and makes a holy, spiritual life much easier to follow up on. Looks like good planning to me. ---ken

    1. The problem is that when I was twenty, I was only looking at "girls" between the ages of 18-and-20, so there was a limit to the temptation.

Now that I am in my mid-sixties, the universe of "girls" has expanded to females between the ages of 18-and-75 which is almost 20 times more temptation.

    2. And then with that "expanded" universe...

Like the Dog that CAUGHT the Car...

      Now what stud?

    3. Mid 60s you're still interested in all of those girls. I was too. Just wait another ten -- fifteen years. It don't get any better. ---ken

  2. 102.4? What is that metric? Did you run into that old stubfart Canuck Filthie up in the deer stand?

  5. I appreciate that sort of exact certitude on dating.

While waiting until past the average lifespan of the American male for baptism is a strategy, it might not be the preferred one...
