Summer: When the living is easy...

The feedlot panels are installed to support the tomatoes

From slightly farther away. The milk jugs are to protect the collards from rabbits.

The 9 ounce, plastic cups with their bottoms removed did not deter the rabbit (now deceased) from feasting on the baby collard plants. Some of the cups were knocked over. On the others, the rascally-rabbit had rested his elbows on the tops of the cut-worm collars and nibbled downward.

First cook-out of the summer

Chicken leg-quarters. Sorry to disappoint those who were expecting hasenpfeffer or woodchuck.

Served with baked potatoes and sweet corn.

Weather Forecast

Approximately an inch of rain is forecast for tomorrow.

If we get that much, then I will not be lugging water this week.

    1. Take two saws. Hang one on the wall of the shed and ignore it. Use the other one very day.

The one you use every day will be shiny and functional next year. The one on the wall of the shed will be rough, dull and rusty. Tools rust-out faster than they wear out.

I am still behind in gardening. I never got the grapes pruned, for instance.

Good eyes. No grass under the deadlift bar.

  2. After a few weeks of dismally small hauls, yesterday we picked lots of strawberries. If we get an excess we'll freeze them for homemade ice cream.

  3. My Uncle had a similar barbell with with two gallon bucket sized units of concrete. Your design is much more versatile.

Morris was not amused by the grill layout, but involuntary snicker was heard ...
